I was called upon by Enrico Varella to meeting Lewis Jones for coffee and if I was interested to join. Having heard so much about Lewis and also having his books , I was curious to meet him in person. I was humbled to find a person of Lewis stature not just a brilliant Magician but a great human being. His tone of speech would put BBC readers to shame(Later I realized he was script writer for Broadcasting corporations including BBC).At 88 he has a memory that can challenge youngsters and steady hands that show his Love of Cards. As you speak to Lewis he influences your way of thinking. Wished I had that Brilliance. I have to agree that he surely is one of the Wisest Men in Magic and it’s a pleasure to be able to meet and converse with him. I was honored as he presented me his unpublished book “Persona: and I could get it signed in the very cab I dropped him.

“Lewis writes in a clear, purposeful style that is very readable. His subtle sense of humour will be experienced in his descriptions and explanations. His decades of work as a professional writer, editor and journalist shows through the lucid description! I have yet to spot a typo logical error!Lewis has been compare with Steward James, Jerry Andrus, Lennart Green and Simon Aronson. He is a one-of-a-kind thinker! On the rear cover page, you will read glowing reviews of his works by Paul Daniels, Penn & Teller, Ian Rowland, Steve Bryant (Little Egypt Magic), Michael Close, Al Smith (Abra) and Steve Beam. The latter has consistently included material by the prolific Lewis in almost all volumes of his seminal Semi-Automatic Card Tricks series” By Enrico varella(Verbatim)
